“No Fix, No Fee” Policy
Our "No-Fix, No-Fee" policy means that if we do not possess the necessary technical knowledge or skills to resolve a problem or make the repair, then we won't charge you a penny!
This simple work ethic is best explained by example:
- If we are able to resolve a problem or effect a repair, but are only prevented from doing so by the customer asking us not to proceed with the work, then the customer is charged for the engineer's time spent.
- If we are able to resolve a problem or effect a repair, but is only prevented from doing so because the customer does not possess the required software CD-Rom or Product Key, then the customer is charged for the engineer's time spent.
- If we provided a clear and precise diagnosis of any failed component and the customer decides not to proceed with the replacement of the component, then the customer will charged for the engineer's time spent.
- The policy does not apply to work related to computer virus/spyware problems or to cases in which the computer has been struck by lightning or similar electrical surges. Clearly there will be times when we cannot perform the impossible such as finding obsolete components or resurrecting a PC that have been run over by a truck! But we will do our best!
What we charge for
We usually charge in one of four ways.
- On a quoted “per job” basis. In these cases we will quote a fixed fee for performing a certain job. These can include jobs such as data recovery, reinstalling one Microsoft Windows computer or Email services.
- On a “per hour” basis. The vast majority of our work is charged on this basis. We charge in only whole hour units rounded up.
For example: At one job disinfecting a system of spyware and viral infections, the time on site comes to two hours and twenty minutes. This would be calculated at three hours.We are happy to give an estimate on the length of time a particular job will take. Estimates must be considered only estimates and not a firm commitment that the work will be completed within the time specified. We always do our best to to work as efficiently as possibly. A happy client is one that calls us again. Unless otherwise agreed in writing all our work is conducted on a “per hour” basis. - On a “day rate” basis. Sometimes we are asked to quote for a whole day and we are happy to do so. Please contact us for details.
- On a individually negotiated “monthly retainer” basis. Please contact us for details.
